Remembering our elders

ALMA transforms lives by creating inter-generational relationships with volunteers and underserved seniors living in long term care.

We plant seeds for connection, empowerment, and a better quality of life, through direct creative arts programming, education, advocacy, and research.

ALMA operates in partnership with UCLA arts & healing initiative, 501(c)3 .

The way we treat older adults and people with dementia, gives definitions to our culture. It reflects our societal values. We pay honor, when we relate to them.
— Donna Newmna-Bluestein, Board certified Dance/movement Therapist & advocate for adults living with dementia.

ALMA inspires vitality and a sense belonging throughout the lifespan, engaging older adults in health improvement and life enhancement through creative arts,  dance, and music programming and connection to outside community volunteers.
